There are several uses for hotels.
You may want to familiarize yourself with the area or just visit as a pure tourist.
You may have come some way in the process of acquiring your own accommodation, but you are going to meet with a real estate agent and negotiate and need accommodation for a shorter stay.
You have acquaintances or relatives to visit who have accommodation in the area but no space, or you are the one who has accommodation but no space and is going to receive a week's visit from friends, relatives or the like.
The hotel can be the main attraction or the complement. It is easy to search for hotels online and now there is, for example, AirBnB.
